We take pride in the fact that our doctors use a surgical microscope for all endodontic procedures. The use of specialized operating microscopes greatly enhances the precision and efficiency of each endodontic procedure by enabling a magnified and illuminated view of the delicate root canal anatomy during all phases of treatment. The additional magnification and illumination also allows for the identification of small details such as calcified canals and fractures within the roots. Use of the surgical microscope allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment and improves the potential outcome of the treatment from “good” to “excellent”. Our surgical microscopes are equipped with high resolution video and digital photography systems allowing for enhanced communication and documentation for patients and their referring dentists.

3D imaging provides better quality and more detailed images than traditional x-rays. This new technology is also less invasive and emits less radiation than traditional x-ray machines. It can create a range of images from single tooth to full sinus for a more comprehensive diagnosis. Cone Beam imaging also aids in the diagnosis of root fractures.

At Perry Endodontics, we use 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) to capture detailed, three-dimensional views of teeth and surrounding structures. This advanced imaging technology enhances diagnostics and treatment planning by providing exceptional clarity, enabling precise execution of complex procedures, and improving overall treatment outcomes. CBCT allows us to:

We utilize a low radiation digital x-ray system which reduces the amount of radiation needed as compared to traditional film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen allow patients to better understand and follow treatment. Digital x-rays are instant and there is no longer a need to develop film resulting in very green technology. Eliminating film and chemical waste is better for everyone and our environment!

Using Electronic Medical Records our practice is able to quickly and accurately access patient information in order to provide the utmost in patient care. This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper. Using a digital format allows for quick access to your information when needed for insurance records yet provides a secure filing system.

These handpieces provide less vibration and noise than traditional dental drills. Not only are they quieter, but also more efficient in tooth preparation making dental procedures shorter and more manageable.

Ultrasonic instruments use ultrasonic energy during endodontic procedures to allow greater precision and accuracy without requiring invasive measures. They are used to remove harmful bacteria within the root canal and aid in the location of calcified canals.

Laser technology in endodontics enhances root canal disinfection and tissue removal by delivering concentrated energy to eliminate bacteria in hard-to-reach areas, improving procedural efficiency and reducing patient discomfort. Lasers are especially effective at decontaminating the intricate root canal system, including microscopic tubules where traditional methods may struggle to reach.
