Perry Endodontics is proud to announce the release of the book Pitt Ford's Problem-Based Learning in Endodontology, 2nd Edition, of which our own Dr. Elizabeth Shin Perry is an editor and chapter author. This book is a global collaboration by 38 authors from around the world. It provides a reference for the currently practicing endodontists and dentists who want to keep up to date with the latest advancements in the field.

About the Book

Readers will find a problem-based approach to endodontics in this book, providing insights into a wide variety of cases ranging from common to rare and complex. Endodontists can use the book as an educational tool for self-guided learning, applying the strategies used in the featured cases to enhance treatment outcomes for their own patients. Each section includes images that fully illustrate the techniques and practices used in specific cases.

This book is a valuable resource for students, residents, and currently practicing dentists and endodontists who provide endodontic services for patients. Additional reading recommendations are provided on each topic for those who wish to further their research and understanding of endodontic treatments and techniques.

Topics Covered

The book includes the following dental and endodontic subjects:

  • Non-odontogenic pain: pain that originates from another source that is not dental or oral tissues.
  • Pulp preservation: procedures that treat exposed dental pulp to reduce inflammation and preserve dental health.
  • Endodontic treatment: procedures that restore the health of the teeth by treating or removing the dental pulp.
  • Restoration: treatment for a tooth following endodontic treatment, such as a dental crown.
